United 1944 is a World War II shooter game that combines crafting, building, and strategy. Players can choose to play in Domination mode, which is a 16 vs 16 team-based game mode, or Survivor mode, which is a solo game mode.
Increase the VRAM to 5GB you can learn how to do that here.
United 1944 is in early access and at the moment it doesn’t support controllers but I’m sure someone who is good with Steam Input will create a custom layout that will map the keybinds to the controller soon.
For the time being I connected my keyboard and mouse to the ROG Ally and with my settings at 1080p 25W Turbo Mode I averaged above 60 FPS when playing in both Survivor and Domination mode online. It runs pretty well on the ROG Ally.
Through out each game you need to pick up the right resources to craft your variety of weapons and explosives that you can unlock by leveling up in a match. The resources you pick up can also help build items to fortify a base you’re defending. The mixture of both during a 16v16 domination game could lead to some both hectic and fun moments. There’s also a built in practice mode to help learn the core mechanics and with your aim. I’m curious to see how they continue to build upon this as we get further into the development of the game.
