The latest Armoury Crate SEupdate introduces official Gyro support on the ROG Ally, finally giving you the option to set game specific gyro profiles. Learn how to calibrate and configure your Gyro on the ROG Ally below.
How To Calibrate Gyro On The ROG Ally
Open up Armoury Crate, go to the Settings tab and click the new Calibration section at the bottom.
Scroll to the right and select Gyro.
Now you want to lay your ROG Ally flat on a stationary surface so that the dot is in the middle on all the rows. Press A to calibrate when it’s all in the middle.
How To Configure Gyro On The ROG Ally
Highlight your installed game or add a game in Armoury Crate SE and press the X button to open up the Game Profile.
Scroll down and click Gyro.
Gyro Behavior, lets you make the Gyro act as a mouse, the left joystick or the right joystick. Setting it as the Mouse or Right Stick would be ideal for shooting games and setting it to the Left Stick would be ideal for Racing games.
The Gyro Enable button let’s you decide if you want it on at all times or if you want to set it to be enabled by pressing any button on the ROG Ally. The Gyro enable button behavior let’s you toggle whether you want that button to enable, disable or toggle Gyro in a game.
Once your done configuring your Gyro settings, back out and launch the game.
You will get a prompt asking you to switch to Auto Mode to play with your profile enabled. Select Yes. In the Command Center, your Control Mode needs to be set to Auto for the Gyro to work.
