Astral Tracks is a early access 3D platforming speedrunning game where players race through procedurally generated obstacle courses locally or online. The game features a variety of movement options, including running, dashing, sliding, swinging, and wall running.
Creating Manual 18W TDP
Open up Armoury Crate, click Settings and then click Operating Mode.
Click Manual and then select a manual mode in the drop down menu to edit. Change all three settings under CPU to this.
Next you want to adjust the fan curves for Fan 1 and 2 to look like mine or to your preference.
You can save your settings by clicking the check mark and rename your settings by clicking the 3 dots next to the checkmark.
Applying 18w mode to the Game
Go to Game Library in Armoury Crate, highlight the game you want to edit and press X on your controller. Click Configuration, then click Operating Mode DC and select the custom operating mode you just created.
The custom mode will be automatically applied the next time you launch the game.
Running, dashing and swinging through procedurally generated obstacle courses against friends or randoms online trying to be the first person at the finish line is so much fun. I played at 900p locked at 18W for extra battery and averaged 60+ FPS through out my gameplay sessions.
Astral Tracks has a lot of potential but it’s an early access game as of now and that comes with bugs. I’ve had random game crashes when entering the settings menu multiple times and the UI could use some work. As of right now it’s pretty confusing navigating the menus to find a game.
I look forward to seeing more levels in different sceneries or even an option to create and share our own tracks to play on.

Thank you to LAB132 for the early access code.
Although it's buggy and it has issues due to be an early access game, Astral Tracks runs great at 900p 18W on the ROG Ally.
