Titanfall 2 runs amazing on the ROG Ally, with the custom 18w profile to save battery you will average close to 60fps when in the Titan and over 70fps when on foot. In both cases, the more enemies on screen the lower the frames will get. It’s a playable experience regardless. You will get close to one hour and 30 minutes with these settings.
Turbo Mode will give you extra buttery smooth gameplay well above 60fps with better graphics but with less battery time at just under an hour.
Open up Armoury Crate, click Settings and then click Operating Mode.
Click Manual and then select a manual mode in the drop down menu to edit. Change all three settings under CPU to this.
Next you want to adjust the fan curves for Fan 1 and 2 to look like mine or to your preference.
You can save your settings by clicking the check mark and rename your settings by clicking the 3 dots next to the checkmark.
Applying 18w mode to the Game
Go to Game Library in Armoury Crate, highlight the game you want to edit and press X on your controller. Click Configuration, then click Operating Mode DC and select the custom operating mode you just created.
The custom mode will be automatically applied the next time you launch the game.
Seven years later, Titanfall 2 still holds up great and it's amazing on the ROG Ally.
